Disability Service providers joined Australians across the country to campaign for a better disability system.
Through the national Every Australian Counts campaign we helped win bipartisan support for a new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The NDIS promised a brighter future for hundreds of thousands of Australians, promising to turn around the daily struggle and allow people with disability and their families to lead a life which they control.
The NDIS began rolling out in 2016, but after three years it isn’t delivering on its promise for too many people with disability, carers , their families or their service providers.
The way it’s being delivered means too many people aren’t getting the support they need. Disability support providers are struggling to deliver the high quality services people need under the NDIS and are at risk of failure.
Without a healthy disability support sector, the NDIS can’t work.
We need to fix it before it’s too late.
That’s why this Federal election disability service providers are asking all political parties to promise Australians they’ll get the NDIS on track so it delivers its promise to all Australians with disability.
